Bigger/Smaller
by Arshia Eghbali ︎︎︎My Darling Helma,
Things here look the same, although everything has become a little bit bigger, you know. The bed is bigger, for example. Now I sleep in the middle—maybe still a bit towards my usual side. But you see, when I wake up, it takes me a couple of rolls to get off the bed (I still get off on my usual side).

These days, in the mornings, I usually drink tea. I have figured that the moka pot is a bit too big to make coffee. I have the same problem with the teapot too. That’s why I’ve been using teabags. But I recently found out that I can put the tea filter directly in the cup. That way I bypass theteapot. So now, I actually mostly do that.

There is one thing that has become smaller though—my heart. In Persian, when you miss someone, that’s how you say it: my heart has shrunk for you.

Yours little-heartedly,
a.
